A New Rotary Year Begins — Welcome Keith, and Congratulations Andrew!
Today marks the start of a new Rotary year for the City of Liverpool Rotary Club, and we have plenty to celebrate.
After two years as President, Gayle Allen hands over to Keith Housley. Gayle has given two years of dedicated service to the club, leading with commitment and warmth, and leaving the club in great shape.
Keith is well known to you all, not least as part of our recent District Quiz Champion team, but as an active, long standing, loyal member of the City of Liverpool Club. He takes on the Presidency of our Club with enthusiasm and a clear sense of purpose, and we look forward to seeing him lead the club again over the coming year.
This year's Rotary theme, Create Lasting Impact, feels like a natural fit for everything we are working towards here in Liverpool. From our community volunteering and fundraising to our work with local schools and charities, everything we do is focused on making a real and lasting difference to the people and communities around us.
We also have some wonderful news from District level. Andrew Allen, who is equally well known to you all, having previously served as our President for three years and is a committed, valued member of our club, has just started his year as District Governor for District 1180, a significant achievement and well-deserved recognition of his dedication to Rotary. We wish Andrew every success in leading the District through what promises to be a memorable and impactful Rotary year.
Here's to a productive, purposeful, and enjoyable Rotary year for everyone.
