All Aboard for the Annual Ale Trail!

Last Friday, a group of us swapped our usual Friday morning breakfast meeting for something altogether more fun and adventurous, as we set off from Lime Street on our annual Ale Trail through the beautiful Lancashire countryside.

Travelling by train, we made our way through some wonderful stops along the route, visiting favourite hostelries in Stalybridge, Greenfield and Marsden, before finishing back up in Slaithwaite before heading home. Each stop brought great company, good conversation and of course, an ale (or gin) or two along the way.

A highlight of the day was a delicious lunch in Marsden, where we refuelled and enjoyed some great conversation before continuing back along the trail.

Good company, good conversation and a great day out. Exactly what Rotary fellowship is all about.
