People of Action - Rolling up our sleeves for the Scout Hut - visit 3 and counting…
Our third visit to the local Scout Hut was every bit as enjoyable as the first, with a small but mighty team showing up once again to roll up our sleeves and get stuck in. Armed with paintbrushes, tools, tea, chocolate biscuits and of course plenty of goodwill, we tackled another round of jobs and had a great time doing it. Another fun Sunday spent with friends who just happen to be holding paintbrushes and tools helping out!
Behind all the fun is a real sense of purpose. The Scouts who use this hut week in, week out, building friendships, learning new skills, and growing in confidence, deserve a space that feels loved and cared for. Each visit, we can see the place coming together more and more, and that's a genuinely wonderful feeling.
Three visits in, and the enthusiasm hasn't dimmed one bit. If anything, it's grown. Watch this space, I know this won't be our last trip to the Scout Hut, in fact the next is already pending in the diary for the 10th May!
If you'd like to join us next time, we'd love to have you along. The more the merrier and the quicker the painting and the jobs get done!
