Dolly Parton: A legacy beyond music

Today is National Literacy Day, a day to celebrate reading and writing, the gift that connects us all. Let’s mark this day by sharing the remarkable story of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and how Rotary supports her dream of putting books into children’s hands around the world.

Dolly, created the Imagination Library as a tribute to her father, who Dolly regarded as one of the smartest people she had ever known, despite him never learning how to read or write.
